FIDEM Industrial Oil Chiller – Precision Cooling for Spindle & Machine Oils
FIDEM Industrial Oil Chillers are high-performance refrigeration units specifically engineered to control the temperature of spindle and hydraulic oils in CNC and precision machinery. Operating on the vapor compression refrigeration cycle, these chillers continuously circulate oil in a closed or open loop, efficiently extracting excess heat to maintain a stable working temperature—resulting in improved machining accuracy, surface finish, and tool life.
Unlike water-cooled chillers, FIDEM oil chillers use air-cooled condensers, eliminating the need for a cooling tower and simplifying installation and maintenance.

How Does an Industrial Oil Chiller Work?
- 1. Oil Circulation – Warm spindle or hydraulic oil is drawn from the machine.
- 2. Heat Exchange – The oil passes through an evaporator (PHE/Shell & Tube), where heat is transferred to the refrigerant.
- 3. Cooling Process – The refrigerant absorbs the oil's heat and moves it to the condenser where it is released to the ambient air via fans.
- 4. Cooled Oil Return – The cooled oil is then pumped back into the machine, keeping the spindle or system within ideal temperature limits.
